Music plays a huge role in Puerto Rican culture which is why the history of music was part of the cultural experience of the trip.

Students volunteered at two different farms and learned about sustainable farming practices.

Students worked volunteered with two animal rescue shelters during their time in Puerto Rico. Two students and a staff member each adopted a puppy who was flown in by Flight Angels this past month.

Eight Penn State Berks students, along with two staff members, travelled to Puerto Rico to help the local community.

U.S. Rep. Chrissy Houlahan represents Pennsylvania's 6th Congressional District, which encompasses Berks and Chester counties.

Students enjoyed the many free offerings provided by GNA Pizza, Los Arrierros, Sweet Ride Ice Cream and Winnie’s Tea Bar and they also had an opportunity to paint an item at the Art Room, providing them with a souvenir of the event.
