Penn State Berks wants all members of the campus community to know that they are valued and accepted. That’s why the campus is offering an Ally/Safe Zone training session from 12:15 to 2:30 p.m. Oct. 10 in the Perkins Student Center Multipurpose Room for faculty and staff.
The Idaho State University Department of English and Philosophy has announced “Service Learning and Literary Studies in English,” edited by Laurie Grobman (Penn State Berks) and Roberta Rosenberg (Christopher Newport University) as the winner of the 2017 Teaching Literature Book Award.
Penn State Berks will hold its Unity Day celebration -- an annual Penn State event that helps bring students, faculty, staff and the community together to celebrate diversity -- from 12:15-1:15 p.m Sept. 20. Activities will take place under the tent at the Perkins Plaza, rain or shine. All Unity Day activities are free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
Penn State Berks will hold an educational event for students titled “Cherry Wine” at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium as part of the campus "Stand for State" program. The event will explore the dangers and consequences of alcohol and drug abuse and sexual assault, and provide information on resources available to victims.
