Leaders from business, industry and government from around the state are invited to a town hall meeting about the innovation economy.

The Penn State community is invited to virtually attend the Nittany AI Challenge Celebration, where nine student teams will present their minimum viable product for a chance to share in the remaining pool of $25,000 in funding. Saqib Shaikh, software engineering manager and project lead for the Seeing AI project at Microsoft, will be the keynote speaker. The event will take place from 6-7:30 p.m. Sept. 25 via Zoom.

In the second of a three-part series of roundtable discussions titled “Toward Racial Equity at Penn State: Social Difference, Social Equity and Social Change,” faculty members, staff, University leaders and students of color shared their experiences within a predominately white university setting and their visions for the future of diversity, equity and inclusion at Penn State.

Penn State Berks will hold its annual “Penn State Day” admissions event for prospective students virtually via Zoom from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 26.

The Penn State Berks Freyberger Gallery has announced that it will hold a series of virtual exhibitions this fall in accordance with the CDC’s recommendations on social distancing to slow the spread of the coronavirus.

Last week, Penn State’s Food Services launched Penn State Eats mobile ordering. The new mobile ordering system, integrated through the recently launched Penn State Go app, under the Dining tab. The new mobile ordering app allows students, faculty, staff and guests the option to order food from their mobile devices, providing them with a cashless and contactless food service experience.

While many Penn State Berks students will be learning remotely this fall, they will still be able to engage in campus life through a series of virtual programs.

Penn State Berks is reaching out to the local community in a new way – through LionSide Chats, a modern interpretation of President Roosevelt’s Depression-era “Fireside Chats.”
