Dr. Andrew Hoffert brings over two decades of experience in public education to his role as assistant superintendent for student services and programs at the Wilson School District. His career spans a variety of positions, including special education teacher, supervisor, elementary principal, and district administrator in the Wyomissing area, Downingtown area, and Wilson School Districts. This diverse background has given him a well-rounded perspective on the educational field.

Dr. Hoffert holds an M.Ed. in Special Education from Lehigh University and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Management from Drexel University. He has also served as an adjunct instructor at Cabrini College and Alvernia University. In his current role, he oversees student services and special education programs and acts as the district’s safety and security coordinator.

A proud Penn State graduate, Dr. Hoffert earned a B.S. in Special Education from Penn State University, attending both the Hazleton and University Park campuses. He later obtained K-12 Principal Certification from Penn State Great Valley. Having lived in Berks County for 20 years and as a parent of a current Penn State student, Dr. Hoffert maintains strong ties to both the local community and the University. He lives in Wernersville with his wife, Erika, and their three children, Jakob, Norah, and Wesley.

Dr. Hoffert is passionate about fostering partnerships between K -12 education and higher education institutions. His expertise includes educational leadership, school safety, special education, and effective communication strategies—skills he is eager to bring to his role on the Penn State Berks Advisory Board.
