There are no rehearsals for the ceremony. Students will receive complete instructions at the Santander Arena on the day of commencement.
Registration/Robing
Graduates should arrive at least half an hour early for registration, instruction, and robing at the Santander Arena; please allow sufficient travel time. Graduates should enter through the "Press Entrance" door, while guests enter through the main entrance. Doors will open at 9:00 a.m. Invited guests must arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to the ceremony for seating.
Please be advised that there will be no secure place to leave valuables (e.g. umbrellas, phones, purses, etc.) at the Santander Arena.
Ceremony
Penn State Berks staff will guide all graduates through each portion of the ceremony.
- All cell phones must be turned off as soon as you enter the student processional/seating area. Please refrain from cell phone use before and during the ceremony.
- Any student suspected to be under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance will be subject to arrest and will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony.
- There will be no secured place to leave valuables.
- Students must remain seated until the conclusion of the ceremony. Once students and guests have exited the building, they will not have permission to re-enter.
Guests
Doors will open one hour prior to the ceremony. Invited guests must arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to the ceremony for seating.
